Dead Acre
Dead Acre is a Halloween-themed wave survival FPS inspired by the classic COD Zombies experience.
You’re dropped into a dark, overrun map with one goal: survive as long as you can. Fight through increasingly dangerous waves, earn your way into stronger weapons and upgrades, explore the environment, and keep moving before the horde closes in.
I wanted the game to capture that old-school Halloween Zombies feeling — creepy atmosphere, constant pressure, and the sense that there’s always something else hidden around the map.

SPOILERS: How to do the Easter eggs in Dead Acre
=== THE UNDERTAKER'S BARGAIN (main quest) ===
1. TURN ON THE POWER
Open the Abbey Gate from the Graveyard into the Abbey Ruins. The power switch hangs on the bell tower. Press F at it.
2. RING THE BELL
With the power on, look up at the top of the bell tower. The bell gives off a faint glint. Shoot it. When you get it right, the bell tolls and "THE BELL TOLLS" appears on screen.
3. TAKE THE GHOST LANTERN
Go to the hunter's cabin in the Woods. A lantern inside the cabin now glows blue. Take it.
4. LIGHT THE THREE BRAZIERS AND FEED THEM
Use the lantern to light each of the three stone braziers with ghostfire:
- Graveyard: in front of the Holloway Mausoleum, in the middle of the graveyard
- Abbey Ruins: just past the Abbey Gate
- The Mill: in the mill yard
Then kill 8 zombies close to each lit brazier (within a few steps). Each kill sends a wisp into the fire. Once all three burn white, the mill wheel starts turning backward.
5. GET THE SEXTON'S KEY
The key surfaces in the middle of the millpond. Wade in and take it.
6. FIGHT SILAS HOLLOWAY
Unlock the Holloway Mausoleum in the Graveyard with the key. Silas Holloway comes out. He has a huge health bar, keeps calling more zombies in, teleports next to you, and gets faster below 40% health. Bring your best Forge-upgraded guns.
REWARD: every perk, the Stormbringer (the Forge-upgraded Stormcaller), plus a Max Ammo, Double Points and Insta-Kill drop.
7. (Optional) THE ENDING
After you beat Silas, go into the mausoleum and pay 30,000 points at his sarcophagus to leave Dead Acre for good.
Tip: the six ledger pages hidden around the map tell the story and hint at every step. You can reread any you've found from LEDGER on the main menu.
=== SECRET SONG ===
Find and snuff out (interact with) the three glowing jack-o'-lanterns:
- Mortuary: in the starting room, near the south-east corner
- Graveyard: in the far north-east corner
- Woods: under the shelf in the hunter's cabin
Once all three are out, the scarecrow's head in the Mill's pumpkin patch lights up. Interact with it to play "Halloween Hullabaloo".
